“Don’t look at me with that ridiculous tone, Ethan! I was simply protecting your hard-earned corporate salary from a gold-digger!” Eleanor snapped.

Chloe clutched the feverish baby tighter against her light blue summer dress, gasping for air as fresh tears streamed down.
“She is my wife, and that is my son! You had no right to steal from us or treat her like an unpaid slave!” Ethan roared.
“I raised you to be a man of status, not a whipped husband defending an incompetent girl from a broken background!” Eleanor retorted viciously.

He pulled out his smartphone with trembling fingers, unlocking the banking app that linked all their joint accounts together.
The screen illuminated his face, revealing a staggering, catastrophic balance deficit where thousands of dollars should have accumulated.

“You didn’t save our future; you embezzled our family funds to fund your extravagant country club fundraisers!” Ethan shouted furiously.
