Outside on the suburban driveway, municipal process servers waited alongside two marked local police cruisers to ensure compliance.
Officer Miller walked up the steps as Eleanor emerged from the house dragging her heavy leather luggage behind her.
“Mrs. Bennett, you are legally restricted from approaching this estate or contacting Ethan and Chloe Bennett under a restraining order,” Miller stated.
“This is an illegal lockout! I demand to speak to the chief of police right now!” Eleanor shrieked at the top of her lungs.
“The order was signed by Judge Harrison himself, ma’am. Step away from the property immediately,” Officer Miller instructed firmly.
Defeated by the combined forces of local law enforcement and federal injunctions, Eleanor loaded her bags into a taxi.
Neighbors watched from behind their living room curtains, whispering in shock as the neighborhood’s most arrogant matriarch fell from grace.
Marcus stood on the front porch watching her depart, turning back to Ethan with an approving, professional nod.
