Chapter 19 - THE ENGAGEMENT RING

The ring had landed near the luggage cart.

Hotel security recovered it.

I had removed it from Evelyn’s finger after canceling the wedding.

Fair.

The ring went through counsel.

No sentimental warfare.

Eventually it returned to me under the written settlement.

I sold it.

I donated part of the proceeds to a child-advocacy organization and retained part to offset canceled-wedding expenses.

Practical.
