Someone suggested naming it after her.
Emma objected.
“No.”
Everyone looked at her.
“Why?”
“Birds don’t care about me.”
Fair.
They named it Willow Creek Habitat.
Emma approved.
Diana’s old house was sold.
The vacant surveillance house became home to a young family with two toddlers.
Normal life returned in pieces.
