The gates of the estate closed behind the convoy with a metallic clang that echoed through the valley.
For the first time in years, Evelyn Hart realized silence could be terrifying.
She spun toward the villa manager.
"Call the owner."
The manager lowered his eyes.
"I can't."
"What do you mean you can't?"
"He just left."
Evelyn frowned.
"Who?"
The manager looked toward the disappearing black sedans.
"Mr. Adrian Cross."
The color drained from her face.
"No..."
She laughed nervously.
"That's impossible."
"He told everyone he was only Olivia's husband."
The manager swallowed.
"He never said he was only her husband."
Meanwhile...
The convoy raced toward St. Gabriel Medical Center.
Inside the back seat, Adrian refused to let go of Olivia's hand.
She lay against him, wrapped in blankets, still trembling from the shock.
"Our baby..."
she whispered weakly.
"The baby's heartbeat is strong," Adrian said, though he hadn't yet heard a doctor confirm it.
He simply needed her to believe it.
She looked up at him.
"You came."
"I'll always come."
She managed a faint smile.
"I thought..."
"...I thought I was too late."
Adrian gently pressed his forehead against hers.
"You weren't."
Then his expression changed.
Quietly.
Dangerously.
He reached for his phone.
"Daniel."
His head of security answered immediately.
"Yes, sir."
"Pull every security recording from the estate."
"Already done."
"Good."
"Send a copy to the police."
A pause.
"And the other copy?"
Adrian's eyes darkened.
"To every member of the Hart family."
At exactly 8:00 p.m., every phone belonging to the Hart family vibrated.
The video was only twenty-three seconds long.
Crystal clear.
Evelyn glancing around.
Her hands on Olivia's back.
The shove.
The splash.
The little girl's scream.
Then Adrian diving into the pool.
No editing.
No missing frames.
Only truth.

The family's group chat fell silent.
