Craig Melvin and Dylan Dryer were left shocked on air Monday when correspondent Emilie Ikeda, who was filling in on the third hour of Today, revealed she is expecting her first baby with husband Pat.
As the trio recapped their weekends, Ikeda, 32, noted that hers is "best encapsulated in pictures."
"I think we maybe have some," Ikeda teased before showing some photos of herself and Pat holding up ultrasound photos.
Melvin's and Dreyer's jaws dropped as they reacted to what they were seeing.
"Oh my God," Melvin declared. "You're having a baby!"
As Dreyer remained stunned, Ikeda told viewers, "For those at home, they legitimately don't know. I'm surprising them right now."
"Wait, are you serious?" Dreyer asked Ikeda, who then told the coanchors that she's "five months pregnant and due in January."
"Congratulations!" Dreyer said, with Melvin chiming in, "Come on! This is so exciting!"

Ikeda shared that she's happy to be in her second trimester, as the first was "absolutely miserable" since she was "very nauseous."
"I'm so excited," she added, "and now I'm in the stage where I can feel the baby kicking, which is miraculous! I might be in a bad mood. I might be preoccupied. I might be into a script, and then I feel this baby kick and I'm like, 'Oh, it's my buddy.'"
Ikeda said that she and Pat are keeping the sex of the baby a secret: "It feels like the ultimate surprise!"
Dreyer and Melvin, both parents themselves, were thrilled by her news. Dreyer shares three sons with her ex-husband, Brian Fichera—Calvin, 9, Oliver, 6, and Rusty, 4— while Melvin and his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, share son Delano, 12, and daughter Sybil, 9.
Squeezing in a proper dad joke, Melvin told Ikeda, "Our control room just pointed out that Emilie Ikeda is about to have an a-kid-a."
"Where's Al?" Ikeda joked of meteorologist Al Roker's absence. "Did Al call in from Italy to say this?"
Ikeda also shared her pregnancy announcement on social media, posting photos of her and Pat with their ultrasound images.

"Bursting with gratitude…Praying for good health…And sharing with so much joy… that Baby is due in January 💛," she wrote.
Fellow Today correspondent Carson Daly commented, "Oh snap! I just saw you today!! I would have congratulated you! 👏👏🔥🔥🙌🙌," with Sheinelle Jones adding, "Oh my heart!!!!!! 🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."
Even Roker got a word in from Italy, writing to the family, "So happy for you both!!!"
