Aria retained her rights.
Then surprised everyone.
She refused a $740 million offer from another mining company.
Her advisers thought she was insane.
“What will you do with the land?”
“Leave most of it alone.”
She placed large portions into a conservation trust.
Approved limited development only after environmental review.
Ethan asked:
“Do you realize how much money you’re declining?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
