The music that filled the grand auditorium wasn't just notes on a page; it was a story of survival, resilience, and unyielding strength.

The opening movement was soft and cautious, mirroring a little bird navigating a stormy world. But as the piece progressed, the tempo quickened, swelling into a powerful, cascading torrent of sound that showcased the full, unimpeded agility of her hands. There was no hesitation, no fear, no shadow of the past. Just pure, brilliant, soaring talent breaking free from every constraint that had ever tried to hold it down.

Seated in the front row, I felt a hot tear slip down my cheek, though I was smiling so hard my face ached. Mira gripped my hand tightly, her shoulders shaking with quiet, joyful sobs.

When the final, triumphant chord echoed off the high vaulted ceiling and faded away into absolute silence, the entire auditorium erupted.

The applause wasn't just polite anymore—it was thunderous, roaring, standing-ovation thunder. People rose to their feet all around us, clapping and cheering for the incredible young musician on the stage.

Elowen stood up from the piano bench, blinking in the bright spotlight, her face breaking into the most radiant, beautiful smile I had ever seen. She curtsied gracefully, placing her right hand—the very hand that had been broken, the hand we had fought so fiercely to protect—over her heart.
